This month Wentworth House Rail Systems were one of a select few organisations who attended the Department for International Trade and UK Rail Industry Association (RIA) Mission to Australia & New Zealand. The mission was organised to give UK companies an in-site into the multi-billion dollar investments currently underway in both countries and to look for synergies and opportunities to work in both countries.

As part of the mission, delegates received presentations from a number of senior representatives from leading Government Organisations and leading Tier 1 contractors as well as visiting some of the country’s largest and most innovative projects. The mission went to Auckland in New Zealand as well is Melbourne and Sydney in Australia. In Sydney a visit to the brand new Rail Operations Centre (pictured) was organised by Howard Collins, Chief Executive, Sydney Trains and Tony Eid, Executive Director, Future Network Delivery, Transport for New South Wales.

The mission and presentations were mixed with opportunities to network with key players in the Rail market and to forge relationships which can develop into future working opportunities and collaborations, which WHRS are keen to explore and develop going forward.
