UK International Service Team Contingent

Chris Williams, Operations Manager at Wentworth House Rail Systems has been selected as a volunteer as part of the UK International Service Team Contingent to the 24th World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia, USA in 2019.

The World Scout Jamboree is an educational event that brings together the world’s young people. For 10 days, young people work together to find out about each other’s’ cultures and faiths, learn new skills, take part in adventurous activities and grow as global citizens to tackle some of the biggest issues facing the world today.

As part of the UK International Service Team Contingent, Chris will live and work alongside 10,000 fellow Scout volunteers from all over the world as they support the 45,000 young people attending the event, including 3,600 young people from the UK.

The UK Contingent is committed to championing youth engagement and to ensuring that each and every member of the Contingent has an amazing experience and develops personally as a result of their attendance at the Jamboree.
